Soldarini SFT Hydropsyche Precision XUL Sensytip is a series of lightweight and perfectly balanced fly rods designed for precise nymph fishing, especially in situations that require the use of very thin tippets and micro nymphs. Developed specifically for the demanding Italian market, these rods combine outstanding sensitivity with remarkable ease of use.

The Hydropsyche Precision XUL Sensytip rods are supplied with two interchangeable tips, allowing anglers to adapt the rod’s performance to different fishing conditions and techniques. The standard tip provides a precise and well-balanced action suitable for a wide range of nymphing methods.

The second option features the exclusive Sensytip system, made from ultra-thin solid carbon fiber. This tip is directly inserted into the blank and offers exceptional flexibility and extreme sensitivity. The Sensytip concept, already proven in other specialized fishing techniques, significantly improves strike detection and overall control of the nymphing rig.

The Sensytip tip is particularly effective when targeting wary small to medium-sized fish, where the use of very fine tippets is essential. Its ultra-sensitive design helps with casting lightweight flies and improves hook-setting efficiency while maintaining maximum protection for delicate leaders.

To ensure optimal balance, rods in this series feature different reel seat configurations depending on the length. Shorter models (9’6’’–9’9’’) are equipped with a conventional up-locking reel seat, while longer models (10’0’’–10’6’’) use a down-locking reel seat, improving balance during nymphing.

An additional practical feature is the printed fish-size scale on the blank, allowing anglers to quickly estimate the size of a caught fish without the need for a separate measuring tool.
