Fly fishing jackets are made of breathable, multilayer, waterproof and impregnated membranes. Remember that a large number of layers does not guarantee higher durability. The external jacket layer prevents against puncture. The adequate waterproofing and breathing are provided by a membrane put in between other (usually 3 to 5) layers.
