BG Ferret Skin - whole skin

Raw ferret skin is one of the most effective natural materials for making artificial fly bodies.
You will use it to make realistic bodies of wet flies, spiders, maggots, nymphs and pupae, as well as a variety of small streamers.
Shorten the fur on the skin to the desired length (usually 1-4mm, depending on the size of the flies and the intended use) and then cut the skin into strips. The rule is simple, the larger the fly, the wider the strip can be.
Before making the fly, cut the end of the strip to a cone, soaking it in water until it softens.
After drying, the fly can be impregnated with cooking oil for saturation and depth of color of the body.
