Dohiku Catgut

Catgut is a natural material ideal for making nymph bodies.
Its round cross-section allows you to create segmented fly bodies that resemble the natural shapes of insects. Catgut is flexible, so it can be wound tightly onto small hooks. It is also used as a body wrap, with wool or feathers forming the base. This material is designed for making the bodies of larvae and pupae of caddisflies, stoneflies, leeches, earthworms and many other aquatic organisms. It is available in several basic colours. To obtain other colours, it is necessary to use a contrasting base and wrap it with catgut. It can also be painted with waterproof felt-tip pens.
