Raw ferret skin is one of the most effective natural materials for making artificial fly bodies.
You can use it to make realistic wet fly bodies, spiders and, above all, larvae, nymphs and pupae.
The hair on the skin has already been trimmed, but when making small flies, you can shorten it to the desired length.
Before making a fly, it is essential to soak the skin in cold water until it softens.
After drying, you can impregnate the fly with edible oil to saturate it and achieve a deeper colour of the body.
The leather in the package is ready to use.
Cut into strips approx. 2 mm wide and approx. 160 mm long each.
